Decoquinate is a coccidiostat used in veterinary medicine.
Decoquinate is labelled for use in cattle for the prevention of coccidiosis in either ruminating or non-ruminating calves, cattle or young goats caused by the species E. chris¬tenseni or E. ninakohlyakimoviae . It is used for prevention of coccidiosis in broilers caused by E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. mivati, E. maxima or E. burnetti.

Function of Decoquinate Powder
 

Decoquinate is labelled for use in cattle for the prevention of coccidiosis in either ruminating or non-ruminating calves, cattle or young goats caused by the species E. chris­tenseni or E. ninakohlyakimoviae . It is used for prevention of coccidiosis in broilers caused by E. tenella, E. necatrix, E. acervulina, E. mivati, E. maxima or E. burnetti.
Decoquinate is a new type of high-efficiency quinolone anticoccidial drug for livestock and poultry. It is commonly known as decoquinate, edecoquinate, diplobulin, decoquinate, and benoxyquin methyl ester. The original drug is White or slightly yellow crystalline powder, very slightly soluble in Chemicalbook in chlorofor or ether, and insoluble in water or ethanol. It has unique anti-coccidial activity. The anti-coccidial activity is stronger than Madomicin Ammonium and Nicarbazine + Ethoxyamide benzyl, methyl salinomycin, studies have shown that decoquinate can effectively defeat the resistance of coccidia.
