Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor used to treat diseases such as peptic ulcer and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It can specifically act on the site of the proton pump of gastric parietal cells and transform it into sub The active form of sulfonamide is then irreversibly combined with the sulfhydryl group of the proton pump through the disulfide bond to form a complex of sulfinamide and proton pump (H+-K+-ATPase), thereby inhibiting the enzyme activity and making the parietal cell H+ cannot be transported into the gastric cavity. Blocking the last step of Chemicalbook's gastric acid secretion can greatly reduce the amount of gastric acid in the gastric juice.
