Proca ine hydrochloride is an organic compound with the chemical formula C13H21ClN2O2. It is a local anesthetic that acts on peripheral nerves to produce a conduction block effect. It penetrates the nerve cell membrane in a diffusion manner relying on concentration gradients, blocking sodium ion channels on the inside, increasing the excitation threshold of nerve cells, losing excitability and conductivity, and blocking information transmission. It has a good local anesthetic effect.
