Astaxanthin Introduction:

1. Haematococcus pluvialis is a fresh water green microalga and the best source of natural astaxanthin.  Astaxanthin is derived from microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis.
2. We cultivate Haematococcus pluvialis algae in photobioreactor facilities to control the quality from the source, ensure that microalgae will not absorb impurities during the production process.
3. Astaxanthin is a member of the carotenoid family of natural pigments closely related to beta carotene, lycopene and lutein. It is known as "The king of carotenoids", a natural wonder and one of nature's most potent antioxidants, known to provide a wide variety of health benefits.

Astaxanthin oil is a keto-carotenoid within a group of chemical compounds known as terpenes. Astaxanthin oil is a metabolite of zeaxanthin and canthaxanthin, containing both hydroxyl and ketone functional groups. It is a lipid-soluble pigment
with red coloring properties, which result from the extended chain of conjugated (alternating double and single) double bonds at
the center of the compound.
 

Astaxanthin is used for treating Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, "brain attack" (stroke), high cholesterol, and an eye condition called agerelated macular degeneration (AMD). It is also used for preventing cancer.Astaxanthin is applied directly to the skin for protection against sunburn.
