Rivanol is the lactate-hydrate of α-ethoxy-6,9-diaminoacridine. It is a bactericidal preservative for external use and has a strong killing effect on gram-positive bacteria and a few gram-negative bacteria. , Has good antibacterial effect on cocci, especially streptococcus, and has strong activity in alkaline environment. This product is small in irritation, and the therapeutic concentration does not damage the general tissues, but it can stimulate the contraction of uterine smooth muscle, soften and relax the cervix.
