Kinetin is an endogenous cytokinin with a chemical name of 6-furfurylaminopurine and a molecular formula of C10H9N5O. Insoluble in water, soluble in strong acid, alkali and glacial acetic acid; in addition to promoting cell division, it also has the effect of delaying the senescence of isolated leaves and cut flowers, inducing bud differentiation and development and increasing stomatal opening.

^{Kinetin is a cytokinin that promotes cell division. Kinetin was originally isolated from herring sperm cell DNA treated with high-pressure steam by Carlos Miller and Fokker K. Skoog, which has enhanced cell division activity. Because it can induce cell division, this substance is called kinetin. Kinetin can induce the corre-sponding cells to produce auxin. In plant tissue culture, kinetin is usually used to induce callus formation (combined with auxin) and callus formation into buds (low concentration auxin is required at the same time).}

1.Kinetin is one of a group of compounds called cytokinins, a plant growth regulator. In plants, kinetin can
promote cell division and activate the process of cell growth and differentiation;
2.Kinetin can be used as an antioxidant to prevent oxidative damage caused by free radicals;
3.Kinetin can affect cell growth and differentiation, so as to delay and offset the signs of aging. By dividing
and forming new cells, kinetin can renew the skin;
