Piroxicam is used to treat rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis. It has obvious analgesic, anti-inflammatory and certain swelling effects. The short-term effective rate can reach more than 85%. This product has a pharmacological effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase to reduce the synthesis of local prostaglandins and inhibit the chemotaxis of leukocytes and the release of lysosomal enzymes.

It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Its mechanism of action may be due to its ability to inhibit the biosynthesis of prostaglandin, a mediator of inflammation, instead of stimulating the pituitary-adrenal axis to produce anti-inflammatory effects. The drug is suitable for rheumatic wet arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing excitatory spondylitis, acute musculoskeletal injury and acute gout. It is used for the treatment of rheumatism and rheumatoid arthritis. It has obvious analgesic, anti-inflammatory and certain bell-killing effects, and its effect is slightly stronger than that of indomethacin.
