Gamithromycin is a new semi-synthetic macrolide (Marolides) animal antibiotic, which is one of the representative drugs of the second generation of macrolide antibiotics developed by the French Merial company, and plays a role in bacteriostatic and bactericidal effects by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial RNA-dependent proteins. Gamamycin has high antibacterial activity against Mantella haemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Mycoplasma bovis, which cause bovine respiratory disease (BRD). It has broad antibacterial spectrum, strong antibacterial activity, fast absorption, wide distribution in the body, low residue in the body, and high safety, and is widely used in foreign countries in the clinical treatment of bovine respiratory diseases caused by bacterial pathogens such as Pasteurella haemolyticus, Pasteurella haemorrhaticus, histophilia.
