Spiramycin, English name. This product is a white or slightly yellow powder with a slight odor; Micro hygroscopicity; This product is soluble in , ethanol, or ether, almost insoluble in water, and insoluble. It is a macrolide antibiotic obtained from Streptomyces ambofaciens culture medium. Spiramycin is an acetate of acetylspiramycin, which exhibits strong antibacterial effects after oral administration by deacetylation. Spiramycin is a strong antibacterial agent that only exhibits bactericidal effects at high concentrations. This product has strong antibacterial effect and post antibacterial effect (PAE) in vivo, can enhance the phagocytosis of phagocyte, and is widely distributed in the body. The concentration of this product in histiocyte is higher than erythromycin, and the side effects are less than erythromycin. This product can be used to treat ear, nose, throat, and respiratory infections caused by Gram positive bacteria and certain Gram negative bacteria. It is suitable for treating oral and otolaryngological infections caused by sensitive bacteria such as otitis media, periodontitis, acute sinusitis, etc. It can also be used to treat toxoplasmosis
