What is Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 Powder ?
 

It also known as acetyl hexapeptide-3 or acetyl hexapeptide-8, is a synthetic six amino acid peptide used in anti-aging skin care products to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a fragment of SNAP-25. It works by limiting the ability of neurotransmitters to activate movement in your facial muscles, for example, when forming facial expressions such as smiling or frowning. By inhibiting the nerves that cause facial muscles to contract, subtle facial expressions are limited and wrinkles are subsequently reduced.

Studies have shown that Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 improves the appearance of facial areas prone to developing dynamic folds, including around the eyes and in the forehead area. According to a study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science, when Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is used at a 5% concentration it has the ability to decrease wrinkles up to 30% when applied once daily for 28 days. Thus, anyone looking to smooth out wrinkles caused by repeated muscle movement in areas such as the forehead and around the eyes may benefit from topical application of Acetyl Hexapeptide-8.
