Neomycin is an antibiotic from the aminoglycoside group, and has two isomers - neomycin Band neomycin C. Occupational contact dermatitis mainly occurs in workers at animal-feed mills, in veterinaries and in health workers.
 

Function of Neomycin Powder CAS 1404-04-2

1. Neomycin Sulphate is typically used as a topical preparation, such as Neosporin.
2. Neomycin Sulphate can also be given orally, where it is usually combined with other antibiotics.    
Neomycin Sulphate is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and has been used as a preventive    
measure for hepatic encephalopathy and hypercholesterolemia. By killing bacteria in the intestinal tract,    
it keeps ammenia levels low and prevents hepatic encephalopathy, especially prior to GI surgery.
3. Neomycin Sulphate has also been used to treat small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.
