DL-Alanine is the basic unit of protein and one of the 21 amino acids that make up human protein. Amino acids that make up protein molecules are all L- amino acids. Because they have different charged states in the same pH environment, that is, they have different isoelectric point (PI), which is the principle of separating amino acids by electrophoresis and chromatography .Alanine has two isomers of alpha alanine and beta alanine.
